“Our story opens where countless stories have ended in the last twenty-six years: with an idiot — in this case, my brother, Shaun — deciding it would be a good idea to go out and poke a zombie with a stick to see what happens.”
― Mira Grant, Feed

I love books and I love zombies. I never thought I’d care for books about zombies, though. I picked this book up for the first time a few years ago. I was looking for something new to read, something different from the normal stuff that I enjoy. Sometimes change is good. In this case, it was really good.

This isn’t your typical zombie apocalypse where you find yourself reading about 10 people stuck in a mall together trying to survive and work as a team to escape. It’s more realistic. Have you ever thought of what might actually happen given this type of situation? I believe this book is pretty darn close. It follows the life of a journalist/reporter with her brother and a few close friends. I don’t like ruining movies for people and the same goes for books so I can’t give away too much. But I will say, if you like drama, comedy, conspiracy and a little zombie action, you will enjoy this book.

The quote above is what drew my attention to this book. It sets the tone for the book and if that doesn’t catch your attention, then maybe this book isn’t for you. There are 3 books to this series. I enjoy when people share a good book with me so I figured I’d return the favor. Enjoy!
