Never Forget, Never Regret

Writing, life, journal

Another day

I feel like I have let the blog world down. It has been several months since I’ve posted and yet I still have people reading my past post and following me. This community never ceases to amaze me.

A lot has changed in my life and I have had no motivation to write. I hope to be back soon. Losing a loved one changes you and losing another one almost 4 years later tears you in half.

Thank you all for still supporting me (even in my absence) on this journey.

The Blog-aholic Award

I always get a smile on my face when I see these awards. It might not seem like much but in the world of blogging it means a lot! Continue reading “The Blog-aholic Award”

In that moment

My mom came over last weekend and we had our normal every day life talks. I started telling her about all of the things I’m passionate about. Mostly things like being an activist, speaking out for those that don’t have a voice, standing up for what I believe in and of course getting involved in certain peaceful protest. Key word there is peaceful. Anyways, somehow we got on the subject of the protest during the Vietnam war and she looked at me, laughed and said, “You know, you’re becoming the kind of person your father use to dislike.” Continue reading “In that moment”

The Handwriting Tag

I was tagged by the super awesome Thirtynwordy and decided to join in on the fun! I’m sorry it took me almost 2 weeks to get this done but better late than never! Since I completely forgot to write the link to the person I decided to tag here it is Anna Cottage  Continue reading “The Handwriting Tag”

We are the Survivors

I could talk about the election today and what a mess it has been but I think enough people are talking about it. I decided the only thing I wanted to mention is that I’m proud to see over 4 million people vote for Gary Johnson. I know that’s not even close to being enough but it was noticed. I’m so happy to know I was not alone. Today, I wanted to bring more light to sensitive subject. Continue reading “We are the Survivors”

A letter to an old friend

Dear absent friend,

It has been over a year since we last talked. I tried to end things on a good note; the best I could at least. The only evidence I have as to why our friendship ended sits in my dusty and mostly unused inbox. To be honest, I can’t even remember why it ended. Continue reading “A letter to an old friend”
