Why Women March

I have been in complete shock over the responses about the women’s march. Continue reading “Why Women March”

“Peace cannot be achieved through violence, it can only be attained through understanding.”

I’ve tried to stay away from social media the last few days. I knew after our soon to be president was announced that things were going to be a bit messy. I think most Americans did. I just wish for once that people would prove us wrong and show the world that we do know how to be peaceful. Wishful thinking I guess? We are the Survivors

I could talk about the election today and what a mess it has been but I think enough people are talking about it. I decided the only thing I wanted to mention is that I’m proud to see over 4 million people vote for Gary Johnson. I know that’s not even close to being enough but it was noticed. I don’t claim to know everything about everything but I absolutely love learning all things history. History isn’t my sons favorite subject (yet) but it’s nice that he pays enough attention to have conversations with me about it. Continue reading “Alright, Alright, Alright”

Women’s Equality Day: We are not victims, we are survivors.

This is a day of celebration. It’s a day to be proud of who you are and how far we’ve come. It’s also a day to remember the struggles of our fellow women (and men who joined with them) who fought so hard for us to have the life that we have now . They didn’t back down and they never gave up. Those women live in us and help us continue our fight for full equality. They proved that with enough determination we can, and will be heard. Continue reading “Women’s Equality Day: We are not victims, we are survivors.”
