I’ve tried to stay away from social media the last few days. I knew after our soon to be president was announced that things were going to be a bit messy. I think most Americans did. I just wish for once that people would prove us wrong and show the world that we do know how to be peaceful. Wishful thinking I guess?

I have almost no words today. It’s voting day in the U.S and my anxiety is in full throttle. I’m relieved that I voted early and it’s over with but I’m not ready for the results of this big joke. I guess I’m a tad worried how our country is going to handle this. 

A letter to an old friend

Dear absent friend,

It has been over a year since we last talked. I tried to end things on a good note; the best I could at least. The only evidence I have as to why our friendship ended sits in my dusty and mostly unused inbox. To be honest, I can’t even remember why it ended.

I’m in the  mood for some poetry today. But since rhyming isn’t my forte I decided to share a poem from one of my favorite poets. It just so happens to go with transformation. Would love to hear your thoughts on how you interpret this poem!

I joined this site 3 months ago. I honestly wasn’t sure if I’d really like it or how long I’d last. I’ve gotten over 550 views, a great amount of followers (way more than expected) and the support from this place has been overwhelming. It might not sound like much but to me it’s something wonderful.  Thank you all for reading and sharing a piece of you every day. I really enjoy learning from you guys and seeing how unique the people in this world really are.
